In 1937, Joe "the Yankee Clipper" Di Maggio and his brother Vince decided to open a restaurant on the Wharf, called ?Joe Di Maggio?s Grotto,? and the huge electric sign showed Joe in his familiar baseball hitting stance. The walls of the restaurant itself were lined with pictures of Joe?s and his brothers Dom?s and Vince?s baseball buddies.
